Privacy notice

Hellstain Productions is the controller for the processing described on this page. Questions about your data, and requests to see, correct or delete it, can be sent through the contact page.

Technical delivery data

The site and hosting stack may process IP address, browser information, requested URLs, timestamps, and similar server log data to deliver pages securely and diagnose errors. Server logs are kept for three days.

Page statistics

The site counts page views to see which pages are read. Each view adds one to a daily counter for the page, the language version and, if you arrived through a link, the name of the website that linked here. No cookies, identifiers, IP addresses or other information about you are stored, and visitors whose browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control are not counted.

Contact form

When you use the contact form, your name, email address, subject and message are sent by email to Hellstain so we can answer you. The message is not stored on the website. To stop automated abuse, the form uses a computational check that runs in your browser and a short-lived count of submissions per IP address that is only held in memory. The email is kept in Hellstain's mailbox for as long as it is needed to handle your inquiry.

Preference data

If you allow preference storage, the site stores your theme choice so the same appearance can be restored on later visits.

Artist portal accounts

Artists who work with Hellstain may get an account for the artist portal. For them we process the account's username, email address and a protected (hashed) password, the changes they make to their artist page, and the posts they prepare there. Accounts are created by Hellstain and kept for as long as the collaboration lasts, or until deletion is requested.

External services after activation

If you choose to load embedded Spotify, YouTube, or map content, your browser connects directly to those services and their own privacy policies then apply.

The website, its content management system, its database and its images run on Microsoft Azure in Norway, and the contact form's emails are sent through Microsoft's email service with data stored in Norway. Microsoft processes this data on Hellstain's behalf under a data processing agreement.

Delivery, security and page statistics are based on the legitimate interest in operating a secure web service and knowing which content is read; the statistics contain nothing that identifies you. Contact form messages are processed to answer you, based on the same legitimate interest, or to take steps at your request before a possible agreement. Artist portal accounts are processed to carry out the collaboration with the artist. Consent storage exists so the site can remember and honor the choice you made; theme storage is only used when you have allowed preferences.

Depending on the situation, you may have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, or data portability. If you believe personal data has been handled incorrectly, you may contact Datatilsynet in Norway or the supervisory authority where you live.
